    TLDR Melatonin and photobiomodulation are effective for treating Alopecia X in German Spitz dogs.
    This study evaluates the effectiveness of melatonin, photobiomodulation (PBM), and their combination in treating Alopecia X in German Spitz dogs, involving 60 dogs over 90 days. The hypothesis is that PBM alone or combined with melatonin can promote hair regrowth. Both interventions were well-tolerated with minimal side effects, highlighting the need for standardized protocols and optimal parameters for therapeutic lasers. Despite potential challenges in owner adherence and study enrollment, the research provides valuable preliminary data on PBM's safety and efficacy for this condition.
