The study investigated the hair-growth effects of plants from Jeju, focusing on the proliferation of dermal papilla cells, which are essential for hair formation and growth. It was found that the extract of Orostachys iwarenge Hara increased the proliferation of immortalized vibrissa dermal papilla cells, suggesting its potential to promote hair growth through this mechanism.
