TLDR Oral isotretinoína effectively stabilizes frontal fibrosing alopecia.
The study evaluated the therapeutic effects of oral isotretinoína in patients diagnosed with frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA), a chronic lymphocytic primary alopecia. Through a descriptive observational study involving patient interviews and data collection, the research found that oral isotretinoína treatment effectively stabilized alopecia. This stabilization is significant as hair loss in FFA patients often impacts their femininity and self-esteem. The findings suggest that isotretinoína could be a beneficial treatment option for FFA, aiding healthcare professionals in managing this condition.
