TLDR Lecithin-encapsulated resveratrol nanoparticles could be a safe and effective anti-cancer treatment.
The study developed a fully natural lecithin-encapsulated resveratrol nanoparticle (Lec(RSV)) for anti-cancer therapy, leveraging lecithin's inherent anti-tumor properties. Lec(RSV) nanoparticles (~120 nm) were characterized and showed high cellular uptake and anti-cancer effects in vitro using the BT474 human breast cancer cell line. In vivo studies in a BT474 orthotopic model demonstrated increased tumoral uptake and apoptosis 4 hours post-injection. The findings suggest that Lec(RSV) could be a safe and effective anti-cancer therapeutic with potential for clinical application.
