TLDR Nanomedicines could offer better, longer-lasting psoriasis treatments with fewer side effects.
Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease with significant physical and psychological impacts due to its symptoms and treatment limitations. Current therapies like biologics and immunosuppressants are effective but have drawbacks such as side effects and poor long-term tolerability. Nanomedicines offer a promising alternative due to their ability to deliver drugs in a targeted and controlled manner, potentially improving therapeutic outcomes by modulating cellular components and signaling pathways involved in psoriasis. This review highlights recent advancements in nanomedicine for psoriasis, emphasizing their potential to provide more effective and sustained treatments compared to conventional methods.
