Minoxidil 2% Lotion for Eyebrow Enhancement: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Split-Face Comparative Study

In the 2013 study involving 40 patients, 2% minoxidil lotion was found to be a safe and effective treatment for eyebrow enhancement. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, split-face comparative trial showed that after 16 weeks, the eyebrows treated with minoxidil had significantly better outcomes in terms of global photographic assessment, eyebrow diameter, and eyebrow count compared to the placebo. Additionally, subject satisfaction was higher with minoxidil treatment. Side effects were minor and did not interfere with the continuation of the study.
