The Value of Long Hair Preview in Body Hair Transplantation

Body Hair Transplantation (BHT) is a technique that has gained popularity recently, with the long hair preview restoration technique generating particular interest. This technique uses long hair grafts, which have been shown to be beneficial due to easier curvature management and the ability to preview a potential final design. The study describes specific BHT cases where the long hair preview technique was used, focusing on three key factors for natural results: hair characteristics and recipient or donor dominance, hair natural curvature and its relationship with skin plane, and achieving coverage through strategic placement while protecting the donor area's architecture. Long hair grafts from various body areas were used to produce natural results in different body areas. The study concludes that the long hair preview technique should be considered by physicians due to its ability to produce high-quality and natural results in BHT.
