Low-Level Laser Therapy for the Treatment of Male and Female-Pattern Hair Loss: A Review of Literature

This document is a review of literature on the use of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) for pattern hair loss. The authors found that LLLT can be effective in promoting hair growth and reducing hair loss, with minimal side effects. They also found that more research is needed to determine the optimal parameters for LLLT and to fully understand its mechanisms of action. The authors found 10 high-quality studies that showed LLLT to be effective in improving hair thickness or density in both male and female subjects. However, more research is needed to establish a standardized treatment for maximum efficacy.
