TLDR Minoxidil-coated microbubbles with sonication effectively enhance hair growth.
The study aimed to enhance hair growth and reduce the treatment period by creating a new type of Minoxidil (Mx)-coated microbubbles (MBs) and combining them with sonication by US energy in the water phase. The study found that the use of US-mediated Mx-COL-MBS cavitation to induce Mx delivery and enhance hair growth in vivo was effective. The study concluded that the layer-by-layer microbubbles-based delivery system for applying Minoxidil was effective in enhancing hair growth. The study suggests that this delivery system could be a promising approach for enhancing hair growth and treating hair loss in humans.
