TLDR Health coaching helps infertile women with PCOS improve their health and lifestyle.
This quasi-experimental study examined the effects of health coaching on 78 infertile, overweight/obese women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), aged 18–35. Participants were divided into a coaching group and a routine care group. The coaching group received six sessions with a midwife coach. While there was no significant difference in weight change between the groups, the coaching group showed significant improvements in waist circumference reduction, increased physical activity, and enhanced lifestyle scores. The study concludes that health coaching can effectively improve certain health indicators in PCOS women undergoing fertility treatments, although weight loss may require more tailored strategies.
