    Eight years ago, a study found that human dermal stem/progenitor cell-derived conditioned medium (hDSPC-CM) could potentially be used as a treatment for hair loss. The research showed that hDSPC-CM increased alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity and the expression of certain dermal papilla cell markers. It also significantly increased the secretion of Wnt3a protein, which was found to restore ALP activity. The study further explored the effect of hDSPC-CM on hair regeneration in C57BL/6 mice, highlighting the connection between the Wnt/ß-catenin pathway and hair formation.
