TLDR Found different long non-coding RNAs in balding Chinese men, which may help create new treatments.
This study aimed to identify differentially expressed long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in a Chinese male population. The researchers used genomic analysis to compare AGA tissues with adjacent normal tissues and identified several lncRNAs that were differentially expressed. They also conducted functional pathway analysis and confirmed the expression of selected lncRNAs using real-time qRT-PCR. The study provides insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying AGA and may contribute to the development of new therapeutic strategies.
