TLDR Two key genetic areas linked to male-pattern baldness were identified.
Two studies conducted genome-wide association analyses to identify genetic loci associated with androgenetic alopecia, commonly known as male-pattern baldness. These studies identified two major genetic loci that were crucial in understanding the molecular basis of this condition. This research set the groundwork for further exploration into the genetic factors contributing to baldness.
