TLDR FUE is effective and preferred for hair restoration, improving appearance and perceived age.
The study assessed the effectiveness of the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique for hair restoration in 20 patients with various types of alopecia, including androgenetic, cicatricial, and traction alopecia. Participants, mostly male with an average age of 30.53 years, underwent an average of 1852.6 implants over 6.47 hours. Results indicated significant satisfaction across all groups, particularly among cicatricial alopecia patients. The study concluded that FUE is an effective method for hair restoration, with satisfaction levels consistent with previous research, and reported no financial support or conflicts of interest.
