TLDR An 8-year-old girl with vitiligo developed extra hair growth on her knee after using tacrolimus ointment.
The document discussed several dermatological conditions in children, including a 9-year-old girl with hypopigmented mycosis fungoides treated successfully with UVA1-light, a 5-month-old infant with alopecia areata (AA) suggesting AA might be more common in infants, and a potential link between geographic tongue and psoriasis observed in two children. An 8-year-old girl with vitiligo developed focal hypertrichosis on her knee after 2 months of using topical tacrolimus 0.1% ointment, marking the first reported human case of this side effect, though repigmentation was significant without other adverse effects. Additionally, a 10-year-old girl with Fox Fordyce disease showed some improvement with topical 0.1% adapalene gel, highlighting the rarity and potential underdiagnosis of this condition in prepubertal girls.
