    TLDR Finasteride caused serious side effects and led to six suicides.
    A case series of six men who were treated with finasteride for androgenic alopecia experienced adverse effects such as erectile dysfunction, insomnia, testicular pain, anxiety, brain fog, depression, feeling isolated/disconnected, memory loss/cognitive changes, panic attacks, dizziness, fatigue, abnormal ejaculation, genital numbness, genital shrinkage, low libido, weight loss, and suicidal ideation. All six men committed suicide between 6 months to 10 years following finasteride discontinuation. The insomnia and sexual dysfunction persisted even after finasteride discontinuation.
