TLDR Finasteride effectively reduces acne with minimal side effects.

A study conducted on 56 acne patients, divided into male and female groups, evaluated the effects of taking 5 mg of finasteride for 2 months. The results indicated that finasteride reduced the area and severity of acne in both groups without any apparent side effects. The study concluded that finasteride had a satisfactory therapeutic effect on acne with minimal side effects.
