TLDR Proretinal nanoparticles improve skin absorption and reduce irritation of topical retinoids.
The study developed proretinal nanoparticles (PRN) to enhance the percutaneous absorption and follicular penetration of retinal, addressing issues of low bioavailability, chemical instability, and skin irritation associated with topical retinoids. The PRN, made from chitosan grafted with retinal, showed significant improvement in delivering retinal to the stratum corneum and hair follicles. The nanoparticles reached the infundibular area of hair follicles and released the model drug effectively within the follicles. This nanoparticle system could potentially improve the treatment of retinoid-responsive and hair follicle-associated skin conditions like acne.

User experienced shortness of breath, high blood pressure, red eyes, and eye floaters after using RU58841 for hair loss. They warn others to avoid RU58841 and stick to finasteride, minoxidil, and dutasteride.

community Minoxidil, microneedling and buying tretinoin from Germany

in Minoxidil  1 upvotes 2 months ago
The conversation discusses using minoxidil with microneedling and considering tretinoin to enhance hair growth, especially for those who are weak responders to minoxidil. It also explores the potential of using tazarotene, a stronger retinoid, to boost minoxidil's effectiveness and addresses purchasing tretinoin from Germany.

Minoxidil with alcohol and propylene glycol was more effective than non-alcohol versions, and RU58841 worked best in a non-water-based solution. Oral finasteride showed better results than topical, despite side effects; microneedling and tretinoin worsened hair loss, and PRP was only helpful when younger.

community Can Minoxidil be Aging My Skin?

in Minoxidil  6 upvotes 3 years ago
Minoxidil may cause skin aging effects like wrinkles and dark circles, but evidence is mixed. Alternatives like dermarolling and retinol are suggested.
