TLDR Improved hair loss treatment using special particles and surfactants.
The study investigated the use of glyceryl monooleate-based liquid crystalline nanoparticles (LCN) stabilized by Cremophor surfactants for enhanced topical delivery of finasteride (FNS) for the treatment of hair loss. The study found that the use of Cremophor RH 40 and Cremophor EL surfactants improved the skin permeation and retention of FNS in porcine skin. The study suggests that the use of LCN with appropriate surfactants can improve the topical delivery of FNS for the treatment of hair loss.
