TLDR Combining triamcinolone microinjections with minoxidil improves hair growth in women more than minoxidil alone.
This study investigated the effectiveness of combining intradermal triamcinolone microinjections with topical minoxidil in treating female androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Conducted over 4 months with 54 women, the study found that 78.7% of patients in the experimental group (receiving both treatments) showed clinical improvement, compared to 57.1% in the control group (receiving only minoxidil). The experimental group also experienced a significant increase in hair density, though no significant difference in hair diameter was observed between the groups. The results suggest that the combination therapy is more effective than minoxidil alone, but further research is needed to assess its efficacy and safety in a larger population.
