TLDR Combining PRP and minoxidil is more effective for hair loss than using either alone.
This study compared the efficacy of combination therapy (PRP + Minoxidil) versus monotherapy (PRP or Minoxidil alone) in treating androgenetic alopecia in 60 patients. Results showed that 55% of patients in the combination therapy group had improvement in the grade of alopecia, compared to 25% in the Minoxidil group and 40% in the PRP group. Trichoscopic analysis revealed improvements in 58.6% of patients in the combination group, 36.5% in the Minoxidil group, and 44.025% in the PRP group. The study concluded that combination therapy with PRP and Minoxidil is significantly more effective than either treatment alone.
