TLDR
Using Cetirizine 1% cream daily can significantly improve hair growth and thickness in men with hair loss, and it's safe to use.
The study "Efficacy of Topical Cetirizine 1% in Treatment of Androgenic Alopecia: Clinical and Dermoscopic Evaluation" conducted on 50 Egyptian male patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) found that topical cetirizine 1% showed promising results in treating AGA. After 4 months of daily treatment, there was a significant increase in the number of terminal hairs, a decrease in the number of vellus hair, and a reduction in hair diameter diversity. The study also noted mild to good photographic improvement in patients. The treatment demonstrated an excellent safety profile, suggesting it could be a viable option for patients in the future.
