TLDR PRP heals sheep skin wounds better than honey.
This study compared the healing effects of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and natural honey on skin wounds in nine male sheep, divided into three groups. PRP, honey, and saline solution were applied topically every 3 days. Histopathological evaluations showed that PRP significantly reduced inflammation in the first 3 days and improved collagen fiber synthesis and organization compared to honey. The study concluded that PRP was a more effective treatment for healing skin wounds in sheep than honey.

Key treatments for hair preservation include minoxidil, finasteride/dutasteride, and microneedling, with additional options like specific shampoos, oils, biotin, zinc, tretinoin, clascoterone, and low-level laser therapy. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, reducing stress, and addressing nutrient deficiencies can also support hair health.

Nutrafol, a hair loss supplement, has limited and potentially biased research, with one study showing a 10% increase in hair count for women after 6 months but no significant results for men. The user concludes that cheaper, well-studied options like minoxidil may be more effective, especially for men, given the lack of evidence supporting Nutrafol.

A user is experiencing hair loss despite using dutasteride and oral minoxidil, feeling hopeless and considering a hair system. They are advised to try ketoconazole, seek a second opinion from a dermatologist, and consider treatments like finasteride, RU58841, and hair transplants.
