TLDR Eating raw cheonggukjang improves scalp hair in middle-aged women.
The study investigated the effects of consuming raw cheonggukjang on the scalp hair of 20 middle-aged women (40-60 years old) over 12 weeks. The experimental group (E) consumed 50 g of cheonggukjang daily, while the control group (C) did not. Results showed significant improvements in Group E: a 4.72% increase in hair number per unit, a 13.57% increase in hair number per follicle, a 16.67% increase in hair thickness, and a 2.76% increase in tensile strength. Additionally, Group E saw a 66.67% decrease in absorbance, a 0.68% decrease in brightness, a 2.87% decrease in redness, and a 1.79% decrease in yellowness. These findings confirmed that raw cheonggukjang intake improved scalp hair conditions in middle-aged women.
