TLDR Black bean, wheat, and rice bran extracts can boost hair growth and improve hair quality.
The study examined the effects of ethanol extracts from black bean, wheat, and rice bran on hair growth and physical properties. The extracts significantly promoted cell proliferation in dermal papilla cells and mouse mesenchymal stem cells, with black bean extract showing the most notable effect. When incorporated into shampoo, these extracts enhanced hair tensile strength, shine by 10.9%, and color appearance by 24.12%. The findings indicated that these extracts could boost hair growth and improve the physical properties of aged hair, suggesting their potential use in hair care products.
