Is Topical Minoxidil Solution Effective on Androgenetic Alopecia in Routine Daily Practice?

    Only. This study evaluated the use of a 5% topical minoxidil solution to treat androgenetic alopecia in 1495 men aged 20-40 years. Results showed that at the end of the fifth year, only one patient continued use of the medication, while 99% of patients had discontinued treatment due to low effect or an aversion to this topical treatment method. The insignificant cosmetic effect of minoxidil solution caused discontinuity of treatment among almost all patients.
