TLDR Dexpanthenol improves hair growth in male baldness.
A study analyzed the use of dexpanthenol as a treatment for male androgenetic alopecia in nine patients who did not accept any hormonal or topical treatment. After two months of weekly administration of 500mg DXP intramuscularly, two-thirds of patients receiving DXP for AGA revealed the benefit of treatment overall, with all male AGA patients stating that they observed increased hair growth with DXP. The study suggests that DXP may increase hair density and turnover of the anagen cycle phase, and may have a positive effect on the quality of life of male AGA patients.
