A 39-year-old woman with dermatomyositis-systemic lupus erythematosus overlap syndrome experienced a facial rash, arthralgias, lower-extremity edema, severe proximal muscle weakness, and hair loss during a 2.5-month hospitalization. Her symptoms were resistant to initial treatments but eventually resolved with the administration of tofacitinib.
