    The study demonstrates that the methanolic extract of Cnicus Benedictus leaves can inhibit the growth of human cervical cancer cells in vitro. The extract exhibits cytotoxic behavior that is specific to both cell cycle and non-cell cycle phases. Importantly, the research highlights that the extract selectively targets and kills cancer cells while sparing normal cells, suggesting its potential safety and effectiveness as a treatment option.
