In vitro studies showed AAE significantly upregulated keratin expression, while animal studies showed improved hair condition and increased hair growth factors. Clinical trials involving a total of 330 subjects demonstrated AAE's effectiveness in stimulating hair growth and inhibiting hair loss. However, the review calls for further research and meta-analyses to definitively assess AAE's effectiveness.
