TLDR Lichen planopilaris can cause hair loss on limbs, not just the scalp.
This case report describes a 28-year-old man with a rare presentation of Lichen Planopilaris (LPP), manifesting as patchy scarring alopecia on the limbs without scalp involvement. The diagnosis was confirmed through clinical examination, dermoscopic findings, and histopathological analysis, which showed perifollicular lichenoid inflammation and fibrosis. The patient was treated with topical clobetasol propionate 0.05% and scheduled for follow-up. This case underscores the importance of considering LPP in cases of body hair loss and highlights the need for thorough evaluation beyond the scalp to guide treatment and research.
