This case report discusses a male, uncastrated German Spitz dog diagnosed with alopecia X, a non-inflammatory dermatological disorder characterized by progressive hair loss. The diagnosis was made after ruling out parasitic and systemic diseases through various tests. The treatment involved orchiectomy combined with melatonin administration for 3 months. After 90 days, there was partial hair regrowth and a reduction in the alopecic area, indicating that this treatment approach was effective in improving the dog's dermatological condition.
