TLDR Acitretin can cause eyebrow and eyelash hair loss.
This case report described a female patient who developed alopecia areata of the eyebrow and eyelash one month after starting acitretin therapy for psoriasis. While alopecia areata has been associated with other systemic anti-psoriatic treatments, this was the first documented instance of retinoid-induced alopecia areata affecting the eyelash and eyebrow.
