The formulation NP7 showed the highest skin retention and significant hair growth in a C57BL/6 mouse model without adverse skin reactions. NP7 demonstrated a steady drug release rate and high drug loading, with increased lipid and NTC concentrations improving entrapment efficiency. Stability tests confirmed the robustness of NP7, which also showed higher finasteride retention in the skin compared to the pure drug. The study suggests that this delivery strategy could improve hair growth therapy, though further research is needed to evaluate long-term efficacy and safety in humans.
