TLDR Combining beeswax and oleum cacao in the carrier system boosts hair growth.
This study investigated the effectiveness of candlenut oil (AMS oil) in a nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC) system for promoting hair growth in male white rats. The NLC was formulated using different ratios of beeswax and oleum cacao as solid lipids. The results showed that incorporating oleum cacao improved the consistency and reduced the particle size of the NLC, which correlated with enhanced hair growth activity. The study concluded that using a combination of beeswax and oleum cacao as solid lipids in the NLC system resulted in better characteristics and higher hair growth activity compared to using a single lipid.

The conversation discusses the potential of long-chain unsaturated fatty acids, like oleic and linoleic acid, as an additional treatment for hair loss, which may inhibit the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to DHT and promote hair growth. Users humorously suggest using oils topically and discuss other hair loss treatments, but the main focus is on the science behind fatty acids and their role in hair health.
