Micelles are tiny, spherical structures formed when molecules with both water-loving (hydrophilic) and water-repelling (hydrophobic) parts arrange themselves in water. In the context of hair care, micelles can trap and lift away dirt and oil from the scalp and hair without stripping away natural oils, making them a key component in micellar shampoos and cleansers.
