Glossary Immunosuppressed Patients

individuals with weakened immune systems, often due to medical treatments

Immunosuppressed patients, also known as immunocompromised patients, are individuals whose immune systems are weakened or not functioning properly. This can be due to various factors such as medical treatments like chemotherapy, organ transplants requiring immunosuppressive drugs, or underlying conditions like HIV/AIDS. As a result, these patients are more susceptible to infections and may have a harder time fighting off diseases.
