    Glossary Skin Equivalents

lab-grown models mimicking human skin for research and testing

Skin equivalents are lab-grown models of human skin created using a combination of cells and biomaterials. These constructs mimic the structure and function of natural skin, making them valuable for research, drug testing, and studying skin diseases without the need for human or animal subjects.
