      This study developed a straightforward HPTLC method for detecting nicotine and cotinine in human plasma and urine, concluding that liquid-liquid extraction with methanol: chloroform: ammonia achieved optimal separation and is applicable for forensic analysis of lethal nicotine intoxication.
