TLDR Trichoscopy is better than trichogram for diagnosing female hair loss.
The study compared the effectiveness of trichoscopy and trichogram in diagnosing female androgenetic alopecia (FAGA). The results showed that trichoscopy is a valuable and superior method to the trichogram for the diagnosis of FAGA, especially in early cases. Trichoscopic features of FAGA are diversity of hair shaft diameter, peripilar signs, and empty follicles. The study confirms that trichoscopy represents a valuable tool for the diagnosis of FAGA.

Despite trying pyrilutamide without success, opinions vary on whether the hair loss is significant, with some suggesting it might be due to lighting, angles, or a regular shedding cycle.
