Treatment Trial of Mangy One-Humped Camels (Camelus Dromedarius) by Aloe Vera Gel Leaves

    TLDR Aloe vera gel effectively treated mange in camels.
    A study involving ten one-humped camels (Camelus dromedarius) with mange caused by Sarcoptic scabiei var. cameli showed that daily topical application of Aloe vera gel leaves effectively treated the condition. The camels exhibited symptoms such as debility, alopecia, severe dermatitis, pruritis, and skin thickening with scales. Following treatment, all skin lesions disappeared rapidly, and mites were absent from skin scrapings.
