    The study aimed to optimize the formulation of a transdermal film loaded with finasteride microplates to enhance drug skin permeation. The researchers used a Box-Behnken design to investigate the effects of different factors on the film's thickness, elongation percent, and drug permeation parameters. The optimized formulation could provide sustained release of finasteride and enhance its skin permeation. The developed formulation provided gradual release of finasteride from the transdermal film, which could improve therapeutic efficiency and patient compliance.
