TLDR Nutraceuticals like Ashwagandha and Cinnamon may help manage PCOD symptoms.
Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) is a complex endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age, characterized by symptoms such as irregular menstruation, hormonal imbalances, and insulin resistance. While conventional treatments are primary, nutraceuticals have shown promise as complementary therapies. Compounds like Ashwagandha, Cinnamon, Fenugreek, and Holy Basil have demonstrated potential in addressing PCOD's pathophysiological aspects through hormone regulation, insulin sensitization, and anti-inflammatory effects. Clinical evidence indicates that these nutraceuticals can improve menstrual regularity, reduce androgen levels, and enhance insulin sensitivity. Additionally, Chaste berry, Licorice, and Aloe vera may help manage specific PCOD symptoms.
