    Aftimoon (Cuscuta reflexa) is a parasitic plant with a long history in traditional Unani medicine, particularly in the Indian subcontinent, for treating and preventing various diseases. This comprehensive review highlights its diverse therapeutic effects, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, hepatoprotective, and neuroprotective activities. Aftimoon is used in different forms, such as powder and decoctions, to address conditions like hepatitis, palpitations, varicose veins, epilepsy, depression, and skin disorders like vitiligo. The plant contains active compounds like amarbelin and sterol glycosides, which contribute to its healing properties. The review emphasizes the integration of traditional knowledge with modern research to promote Aftimoon's use in mainstream healthcare.
