TLDR Using hyaluronic acid fillers in the temple area of the face can improve looks but has risks, so choosing the right technique and product is important for safety.
The case report discusses the use of PEGylated fillers, specifically hyaluronic acid-based fillers, for correcting temporal hollowness to improve facial balance and appearance. While the procedure offers aesthetic benefits, it also carries significant risks such as contour irregularities, vascular occlusion, skin necrosis, hair loss, blindness, stroke, and non-thrombotic pulmonary embolism. The report emphasizes the importance of carefully selecting both the technique and the product to enhance safety and precision in the volumization of the temple area.
