interrupted blood flow to the brain causing cell death

A stroke, also known as a cerebrovascular accident (CVA) or brain attack, occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients. This can lead to brain cells dying within minutes, resulting in symptoms such as sudden numbness, confusion, trouble speaking, and loss of coordination. Prompt medical treatment is crucial to minimize brain damage and improve outcomes.
