TLDR Aloe Vera and injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) together can speed up and improve hair growth when used in the right amounts.
The in-vitro study aimed to evaluate the synergism between Aloe Vera and injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) in the treatment of Androgenic Alopecia (AGA). Hair follicle-derived stem cells (HFSCs) from an individual with AGA were exposed to different concentrations of Aloe Vera, i-PRF, and a combination of both. Results showed that Aloe Vera increased HFSCs proliferation up to a certain concentration, after which cell senescence occurred. i-PRF demonstrated a direct relationship between concentration and cell proliferation. Notably, a specific concentration of the combination treatment resulted in double the cell proliferation compared to the other groups. The study concluded that adjunct therapy, when incorporated into standard treatment, results in faster and better hair growth, emphasizing the importance of optimizing product concentration.
