TLDR The 6-year-old Somalian girl fully recovered from her symptoms after successful surgery and treatment.
A 6-year-old Somalian girl with hyper secretive adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) exhibited an exceptional clinical response following surgical removal of a 6 cm adrenal mass. Initially presenting with virilization symptoms and severe hypertension, the child's condition improved significantly post-surgery, with symptoms resolving within 6 months. This case underscored the critical importance of early diagnosis and surgical intervention in pediatric ACC, and highlighted the effectiveness of a multidisciplinary treatment approach.
