TLDR Suprapubic hair can be used as an extra donor source for hair transplants when scalp hair is limited.
This case report explores the use of suprapubic hair as a supplementary donor source in body hair transplantation (BHT) for patients with limited scalp donor reserves. The patient underwent a two-stage BHT procedure, initially using chest hair and subsequently suprapubic hair, resulting in an increase in crown hair coverage from 67.9% to 84.6% after BHT and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. The report provides semi-quantitative data on the underreported use of the suprapubic region as a donor site and emphasizes the need for standardized patient selection criteria and comprehensive follow-up in BHT procedures.
