TLDR Men with high testosterone may have higher morning blood pressure, unlike those with high DHT.
The study investigated steroidogenesis and arterial hypertension in men with "physiological" hyperandrogenism, comparing those with elevated total testosterone (n=34) and elevated dihydrotestosterone (DHT) (n=66). It found that no cases of arterial hypertension were observed in men with elevated DHT levels, while 23.5% of men with elevated total testosterone had arterial hypertension, characterized by increased blood pressure in the early morning. Men with testosterone hyperandrogenism showed increased levels of 17-hydroxypregnenolone, 17-hydroxyprogesterone, and androstenedione, and those with arterial hypertension had lower estradiol levels compared to those without hypertension.
